My main experience with the infamous “ Lada “ is from a few visits to Jamaica mon . They imported quite a few and seem to be able to keep them running with bubble gum and bottle caps and 1.5 cigarette papers somehow. Now you may well be aware of this but they are pretty resourceful. Not quite to the degree of the mechanical magicians of Cuba but still pretty impressive. I spent a couple of months there several years ago and a friend had one and had access to a very dedicated group of guys who helped each other out on a regular basis. Very cool.
